JRodos April 2008 Release Notes

Prerequisites

What's New in JRodos April 2008

  • EMERSIM model
    • EMERSIM model is integrated. Model uses RodosLight interface and run on base of ALSMC results.
  • Automatic mode
    • JRodos system can be run in Automatic Mode with 3 Diagnosis models (RMC3, ATSTEP, Dose) and 2 prognosis models (ALSMC, EMERSIM)
    • JRodos Automatic Mode is triggered by measurements read from JRodos RTDB
    • Measurements incoming to the specified folder are automatically processed and stored into JRodos RTDB
    • Time dependent wind fields are available in the ALSMC prognosis run
  • Emergency mode
    • JRodos system can be run in Emergency mode with 2 prognosis models (ALSMC, EMERSIM) which are run automatically one after another without interaction with a user (for quick calculation).
  • IAMM model
    • IAMM model is integrated
    • GUI for IAMM model is developed
    • IAMM location factors are stored in the DataBase
  • ERMIN model
    • GUI for ERMIN model is developed
  • Visualization data on map
    • Possibility to pre-define map legend .sld file for each type of model results (dataitem.properties file in the corresponding <app>/Manager/plugin/ folder)
    • Visualization of measurements data on map implemented
    • New (more pretty) visualization of NWP wind fields implemented
  • Full specified floatable map legend implemented
  • Tab overview button is added for easy tab navigation (looking glass button left from the tabs)

System Requirements

:!: JRodos minimum screen resolution is 1024*768

JRodos is known to run successfully on:

  • Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server - all 32bit
  • openSuSe 10.1, 10.3, Ubuntu 7.10 - all 32bit

Note: JRodos is expected to run on a generic 32bit Linux machine. Other OS like 32bit Solaris, MacOS and other Linux dialects as well as 64bit OS versions are potentially supported, so the user requests should be collected to get a demand on these extensions.
