JRodos July 2008 Release Notes

Prerequisites

What's New in JRodos July 2008

  • New models integrated
    • DEPOM
    • FDMT
    • ERMIN
      • Can be run as standalone and connected to ALSMC or IAMM
  • More results added in already integrated models
  • Automatic start of calculation Emergency model chain on imcoming RodosLight xml file
  • Reporting tool
    • Possibility to create layouts with WYSIWYG tool (Pentaho Report Designer)
    • Possibility to assign report layout to results
    • Automatic start of report generation
    • Generating pdf, rtf, html as zip folder on demand
    • Configuration options (Report → Report Settings)
  • Localization improved. Tree nodes localization, map layers name localization implemented
  • Visualization of geo-spatial measurements data improved
  • Location factors feature
    • Possibility to add color
    • Possibility to specify color for measurements in IAMM
  • Proper UTM zone, time zone, units management
  • Raster data processing
    • Raster information is now correctly loaded and presented (elevation, landuse, population, soil).
    • Raster data in tiff files used for computational models (elevation, landuse, population, soil) is read only for the small bounding envelope around the computational area.
    • For each computational cell its population is calculated according to the raster values and areas covered by raster cell within this cell (intersection is computed precisely).
    • It is possible now to specify raster information (elevation, landuse, population, soil) which should be used in calculation.

System Requirements

:!: JRodos minimum screen resolution is 1024*768

JRodos is known to run successfully on:

  • Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server - all 32bit
  • openSuSe 10.1, 10.3, Ubuntu 7.10, Gentoo Linux 2.6.13 - all 32bit

Note: JRodos is expected to run on a generic 32bit Linux machine. Other OS like 32bit Solaris, MacOS and other Linux dialects as well as 64bit OS versions are potentially supported, so the user requests should be collected to get a demand on these extensions.
